Maybe the Top Gear "Mexican Tortilla Car" mess was actually good news for Mastretta MXT, a new sports car made by a Mexican auto company. Last year, BBC's TOP GEAR showed mocked the notion of a Mexican sports car, sparking an Internet controversy that caused show hosts like the buffoonish Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May to actually respond to their segment. In case you missed it last year, here is what they were yapping about.

However, now that the Mastretta is out and in the market, it appears that the famous "Tortilla Car" is showing some promise.

According to Road and Track, the Mastretta passes the test, and other auto blogs are giving it props. Here's to Mexican sports cars. Suck it, Clarkson.
