As the 2012 presidential race heats up, it was time to add a little fire of our own to the debate. The announcement of Paul Ryan as the Republican Vice Presidential nominee was a little sexy. But, we could out-sexy the Republican establishment. And, that was how Wrong Direction was born. Full Frontal Freedom is a campaign focused on utilizing creativity to combat wealth in politics. The amount of money being spent by the Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelson, and countless other conservative sugar daddies is undoubtedly a threat to the political system. All of us combined cannot rival the economic power of this super-elite class. But, through innovation, cooperation, and a little intoxication, we can create compelling content that asks tough questions.
Like the the tough question being posed in Full Frontal Freedom’s premiere video, “Disclosure,” by Wrong Direction: What is Mitt Romney hiding?
Given the wealth and power represented by Romney and his principal supporters, we believe the voters and American public deserve disclosure — his tax history, his Bain history, his offshore accounts. Our political system demands transparency, yet Mitt Romney and his team continue to evade these fundamental issues.
Our goal is to use humor and sexiness to raise awareness and serious questions that need to be addressed. We know that pop culture is a tremendously powerful medium to reach as wide and as diverse a population as possible, and we ultimately hope that the American people won't just ask Mitt for more transparency, they'll demand it.
