SF Owners Change Name of ‘Bandidos’ Restaurant in The Castro to ‘HECHO’

Just five days after a social media controversy about a new “Bandidos” restaurant opening in San Francisco’s Castro district caught owners off-guard, this afternoon, the owners posted the following statement on their restaurant’s Facebook site:

Reaction to the name change has been generally positive, although some think the owners were being too sensitive. Nonetheless, the person who let us know about the “Bandidos” name did post the following on Facebook after the owners made the change: “Jesse and Dana you are rare in the business world. You are gems. Please let me buy you drinks as I promote the hell out of HECHO.”
