I Am the Bronx Judas: All Because of Nomah, Pedro and Papi

So this weekend is the 2015 Baseball Hall of Fame’s Induction Weekend. Although I don’t plan to drive from Boston to Cooperstown to catch it, I am a bit (okay, VERY) excited because Pedro Martínez is one of the honorees. In his prime, Pedro was the best pitcher I have ever seen. In fact, he was so good, that I stopped being a Yankees fan and started rooting for the Red Sox.

Actually, it’s not that simple: there was also Nomah and Big Papi. Let me just share the entire story in a recent Latino USA segment I did during one very amazing Béisbol show. (Full disclosure: My day job right now is Digital Media Director for Futuro Media Group, the company Maria Hinojosa founded. FMG produces Latino USA.) One more thing: a HUGE THANKS to the fabulous Michael Johnson, one very talented producer. Like I told Micheal after the segment aired (you can subscribe to all the Latino USA shows here), he truly captured my story. So here it is: The Bronx Judas.
