We never thought that the very complex and controversial history of Oscar López Rivera would never get the journalistic treatment it merited, but our friends at NPR’s Latino USA have been able to pull it out. Their latest episode, The USA v. Oscar López Rivera, digs deeps into Oscar’s story, connecting it to history of the island as well as its relationship to the United States and how Oscar and other FALN members were convicted. In short, the Latino USA episode is asking the right question: “Who is a freedom fighter, who is a terrorist, and who gets to decide?”
