The digital project’s website allows for viewers to navigate through the diverse lives of migrants and their families whom students closely followed to capture their experiences.

Since 2013, the nationally renowned Coalition for Immokalee Workers and its partnering Student/Farmworker Alliance has led a fervent campaign to get Wendy’s to join the Fair Food Program.

Volunteers have served as relief for migrants who have been traveling without food or money and were unprepared for the cold temperatures that had yet to arrive in the warm climate of the Texas border.

“Right now we’re working with whatever is left at the farm, but it’s practically over,” one seasonal worker said.
