Connections in the Age of Social Media: A May Day Post by @intelatin

In 2009, I wrote all my secrets out in a letter and fell asleep in a sketchy motel near the airport in Mexico City. I did it as an exercise to come to terms with my past and prepare for my future at a pivotal moment in my life. My secrets weren’t super gnarly but […]

Apparently the show is getting some flak for a segment of last night’s episode when OC Tamra Barney (whoever she is) noted that Eddie Judge, her Latino fiancée, had his “inner beaner […]

Yeah, ESPN’s Chris Broussard Is a Homophobic Pendejo

Really, dude? As Deadspin so aptly put it about ESPN’s OTL coverage of NBA Jason Collins telling Sports Illustrated that he is gay, “OTL booked Chris Broussard to have a discussion with openly gay correspondent LZ Granderson, and it rapidly devolved into a talk about whether or not gay sex is sinful. Huh?” Now we know […]

The Accidental Racism Chronicles Continue: Not the Best Initials for “Southern Pecan Iced Coffee”

Some initials work and some don’t. This is one case where shortening the name “Souther Pecan Iced Coffee” (apparently a New Orleans delicacy) into its initials does not work. Out of context, this is just not right. (Source: Instagram) Yeah, we know it wasn’t intentional, but seriously weird to see.
