Yes, The Latino Rebels Love Canada: Happy Canada Day

Today is Canada Day, and for about 99% of all those who live in the United States, they probably have no clue about what Canada Day is. Simply stated, it is Canada’s national birthday. On July 1, 1867, Upper and Lower Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia were all united to form the dominion of Canada. So, we just want to take a moment and wish all our Canadian fans (FYI, Canada is our third most-popular country on our Facebook page) a great holiday. Why? Because they are some of the coolest and most engaging people on our site. They have kept us in the loop about many stories, and we thank them for that. Here is one from today, welcoming 46 new Canadian citizens.

Now, we don’t pretend to be experts on Canadian culture, but we do have to say that Canada has indeed made our lives better on many fronts. Without Canada, there would be no hockey, and without hockey, there would have never been such an AMAZING Stanley Cup final this year, which Chicago eventually won. And seriously, everyone in the world should visit Montreal or Québec City once. Some of our favorite places. In the summer.

And of course (and we know our Canadian friends will cringe a bit since we are feeling so Canadian today), we need to thank Canada for the following:

Rush

Kids in the Hall

Bob and Doug

Now, we know, we know that Canada has so much more to offer, but this Canadian trio has always been a part of our lives, and we have to say, gracias, Canadá.
