A bare-chested photo of what is said to be Puerto Rican Senator Roberto Arango has surfaced on the Gay Dating website Grindr. The twist? Puerto Rican New Progressive Party and pro-statehood Republican Senator Roberto Arango had has a history of voting against same-sex marraiges and opposed gays adopting children.

Roberto Arango offered an "explanation" for the photo stating:

"You know I've been losing weight. As I shed that weight, I've been taking pictures. I don't remember taking this particular picture but I'm not gonna say I didn't take it. I'd tell you if I remembered taking the picture but I don't."

Arango claims that the photos appearing on the gay dating site "Grindr" are a plot to discredit him by his opponents. However, the most controversial of the photos found, and believed to be that of Arango, is one where is bending over showing his "rear". The catch? That the individual in the photo is wearing the same necklace Arango sported on the shirtless picture he has no recollection of taking but cannot deny it was him. Although we cannot (and should not) rush to conclusion we know the saying, "cuando el río suena, es porque agua trae". Something is defnitely not all pristine and "right" in Arango's life. Stay tuned.

Arango has since resigned.
