Chilean MC Ana Tijoux has done it again. If you're looking for Spanish rap with a political conscience and a definite edge, Tijoux's "La Bala" is it. After getting rave reviews for her first album, "1977" and being nominated for a Grammy, the tri-lingual lyricist's new album has already built a buzz and is set to drop Tuesday.

This second album, which was recorded in Santiago, Chile and mixed and mastered in Detroit, has 11 new songs  featuring collaborations with Academy Award winning musician Jorge Drexler, Chilean rap crew Solo Di Medina (formerly La Pozze Latina), and Cuban hip-hop group Los Aldeanos.

The video for her single "Shock," which was inspired by massive student protests taking place in Chile and has been iTunes Latino single of the week, speaks volumes about what Tijoux uses for musical inspiration and bringing light to important issues, especially in Chile.

“Writing this song, I was inspired by these social movements, writing from my perspective as a mother, musician and citizen.  I thought it was important to pay homage to these protesters,” Tijoux explained via a press release.

The rappera made her debut at Lollapalooza last summer and has also performed at large musical festivals such as SXSW and the Outside Lands in San Francisco.
