In 1965, songwriters Sandy Linzer and Denny Rendell wrote  "A Lover's Concerto," and the song quickly became a hit for The Toys, both in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

The pop song might have sounded familiar to many, since the melody was based on "Minuet in G Major," first attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, but now some say it was originally created by Christian Petzold. Nonetheless, the pop version is classic pop and we love it.
