Marco Rubio Tells the Truth (For Once): Pitbull Sucks and He Ain’t No Tupac

Ok, we know, the election is over and there are more important things happening in this world, but we just couldn't pass up the story about GQ interview with Senator Marco Rubio, the 42-year-old Florida Republican who is already thinking about 2016 (who goes to Iowa just a few days after election day?).

While others are mocking Rubio for not knowing how old the Earth is or listing "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA as one of his favorite rap songs, along with Eminem's "Lose Yourself," and Tupac's "Killuminati," we have to reluctantly agree with what Rubio had to say about Pitbull:

"(Pitbull's) songs are all party songs. There's no message for him, compared to like an Eminem," he said. "But look, there's always been a role for that in American music. There's always been a party person, but he's a young guy. You know, maybe as he gets older, he'll reflect in his music more as time goes on. I mean, he's not Tupac. He's not gonna be writing poetry."

Damn, Senator Rubio, "he's not gonna be writing poetry?" Just another way of saying that Pitbull is lame? Are you just saying that because Pitbull is an Obama supporter or because his music sucks? We are really hoping that it is the latter because if that is the case, we're down with that. We knew we would agree with you on something.

Now, before we end this post, let's close out with Rubio's favorite hip-hop song.
