In case you missed last night’s Latino Rebels Radio, it was a good one. In the first half, host @julito77 and co-host @laxaris talked with Raúl Pérez about his “Brownface Minstrelsy: ‘José Jiménez,’ the Civil Rights Movement and the Legacy of Racist Comedy” study. Later in the show, Buzzfeed’s Alex Alvarez and NPR critic Juan Vidal (along with Juan’s Miami coquí chanting in the background) shared their impressions about their recent HuffPostLive appearance with Raúl “El Gordo” De Molina about lack of Latin@ diversity in media.
