In case you missed it last night, here is what the Twitter profile of Democratic candidate Martin O’Malley tweeted to the Twitter account of Maricopa County sheriff Joe Arpaio:

This was the tweet Arpaio’s profile had directed at O’Malley:

The press conference Arpaio’s tweet was referring to happened yesterday. The O’Malley campaign posted the entire speech O’Malley made in front of the 4th Ave Jail in Phoenix:

Here are a few quotes that the O’Malley campaign also shared:

I came here to Arizona today to say that we must end the shameful practice of mass immigrant detention centers in our country. This not in keeping with the United States of America. This is not in keeping with our principles as a people. This is not how we are a moral leader in this world. And this is not how we are able to give to our children a better and more just future.

Unlike any of the other candidates in the race for president and in our own party, I do not speak out of both sides of my mouth on this issue. Senator Sanders, Secretary Clinton, say different things to different groups. Senator Sanders voting against comprehensive immigration reform, Secretary Clinton voting for the poison pill that killed immigration reform. Senator Sanders voting for protections for the minuteman militia. Secretary Clinton actually saying that detention centers are a deterrent to illegal immigration. I say that we are a better country than this.

We can do without the Spanish, Governor, but we will give you kudos for the Arpaio tweet.
