EDITOR’S NOTE: So we got the following from our friends at the School of Authentic Journalism:

We are looking for 20 badass Latinos who like to tell stories and care about the world. Pretty much all journos, writers, leaders, community organizers and passionate people to join a four-day intensive training session in the art of telling stories in collaboration with social movements in Mexico.

There is no charge for the four day program!!! The Fund for Authentic Journalism’s annual Kickstarter campaign and its donors sponsor this amazing opportunity.

The application deadline is Thursday, June 22, no later than 11:59 p.m (Pacific Time).

The program will be held from August 22-25. It includes training in written, print, and video journalism, as well as the strategic dynamics of nonviolent civil resistance. The school is held in Spanish.

This year’s professors include South African organizer Khusta Jack, Mexican human rights organizer Mercedes Osuna, and Garifuna journalist Edwin Álvarez.

One of the previous projects students and professor at the school have produced is El Joe T. Hodo Show.
