This one is for all of you who grew up in the late 70s and early 80s, and can remember the Peña family from ¿Qué Pasa, U.S.A.?, the PBS sitcom (yes a PBS sitcom) that told the story of a Cuban American family living in South Florida.

Remember?

Now, 40 years later, the show is back in a new stage production out of Miami for a limited two-day run in Miami (you can get tickets on November 20 here). Why do we think the show will sell out and the run will be extended?

As the stage production’s description says: “Today, the abuelos are gone, the parents have become grandparents, and the kids have kids of their own. Now, it’s up to the next generation to continue the Peña legacy, facing new challenges and forging a new future for the Peña household.”

We do wonder if any new Peñas are supporting Trump and if the storyline will even “go there,” but in the meantime, we are catching up on all the shows again.
