How much do we love this story from the boxing world? We present the ass-kicking of American boxer Rod Salka, who wore Trump-inspired “America 1st” border wall trunks in a bout against Francisco Vargas.

Rod Salka wore “America First” with Trump’s brick wall decorating his trunks… & a Mexican fighter just broke him down & made quit on his stool. Breaking Trumps wall. You can’t make this stuff up. Only in boxing ?? pic.twitter.com/rfIXyXvljm

We flipping love it. And Vargas’ response:
Francisco Vargas on Rod Salka’s trunks: “Once we were already in the ring, the wall was an extra [motivation] so I gave it everything. Whatever it is I represent Mexico and I feel that wall is against all my countrymen.” (via ESPN Deportes)

The fight happened Thursday night and Vargas, a former WBC super featherweight champion slammed Salka in six rounds.
And yeah, we know that Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy promoted this fight and that there is some theater in all this, but still…
