In mid-February, singer and songwriter Brianna Cash stopped by the Latino USA office in Harlem for a live performance. The Philadelphia artist, born Brianna Castro, is rising in the R&B scene with her light yet soulful voice, and honest lyrics.

Cash began writing and performing in a high school band and church choir at the age of 15, citing Lauryn Hill as an early influence. In January, the 27-year-old was signed to a label, and currently is preparing to release her debut album. Her single “Numb,” which dropped in late January, features Tory Lanez, and has amassed over a million listens on online streaming platforms.

Here she is performing “Numb” for our series “Live From Latino USA.”
