On Thursday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) conducted a “large-scale operational readiness exercise” at the San Ysidro port of entry in San Diego, closing this part of the U.S.-Mexico border for about 30 minutes, according to local Mexican media.

The first video shows the security drill from the air. Notice all the traffic stopping, and as one local San Diego outlet reported, “CBP officers could be seen setting off smoke devices and holding up clear plastic shields on the U.S. side of the port. Officers then formed a line and walked into a building in the area.”
