A Congressional Subcommittee Held a Historic Hearing About a National Latino Museum

With all the news happening this week out of D.C., we are fairly certain you might have missed the fact that on Thursday the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands held a legislative hearing for H.R. 2420, The National Museum of the American Latino Act.

Some of the witnesses who spoke were: Rep. José Serrano (D-NY), Rep. Joaquin Castro, Yale professor Dr. Stephen Pitti and Dolores Huerta.

The bill, known as the National Museum of the American Latino Act, was introduced by Rep. Serrano earlier this year. It has 221 co-sponsors.
