For Mother’s Day, award-winning LA based video production company HRDWRKER featured “De tal madre, tal hija,” a three-minute short film that explores the supportive relationship between mother (Adriana López) and daughter (Fabiola López).

The short explores how Adriana did not experience the freedom to pursue her passions. That all changed when she became a mother and could approach her parenting style in a completely different way—allowing her kids the full freedom to be creative and explore alternative professions.

Now, Fabiola is an aspiring photographer and part of the Las Fotos Project mentorship program.

The film was completely shot on an iPhone and was an 2019 Official Selection of the Oaxaca FilmFest. It was directed by Othoniel Molina Othoniel Molina, a self-taught cinematographer and editor based in Los Angeles by way of El Salvador.
