We get a lot of story ideas and tips from our Facebook community, and the following one from Elizabeth Ayala is perhaps one of the most bizarre ones we have ever seen. Here is what Elizabeth posted on our FB page:
“Apparently Google search thinks the upcoming Chavez biopic is about Julio Cesar.”
So we checked it out this morning. And as of this posting, if you Google “cesar chavez movie,” it does indeed say this on the sidebar:
Documents the life and career of Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez, considered one of the sport’s–and Mexico’s–all-time greats. Follows Chavez through the final bouts of his career, even as he proudly passes the torch of boxing to his son.
Release date: March 28, 2014 (USA)
Of course it does.
By the way, it is safe to say that the new CHAVEZ movie is not about the legendary Mexican boxer. Even the Wikipedia page the sidebar references is correct.
However, it could be possible that someone, anyone, could have changed the Wikipedia page last night and Google hasn’t updated its search.
We’ll look into this one some more. Still hilarious.
