On Thursday, Univision announced that it was firing a writer/producer at ‘El Gordo y La Flaca’ for sexual harassment.

In an broadcast by Univision news anchor Jorge Ramos as well as a statement by the network, writer/producer Enrique Albis was let go. According to Ramos, Univision conducted an internal investigation where it determined that Albis had sexually harassed woman who was auditioning to be a presenter on the show in April of 2015.

The statement from Univision (translated by us from Spanish) reads as follows:

We expect all employees treat each other and treat our audience, community, guests and associates with dignity and respect, and we do not tolerate any type of transgression. Harassment —of any kind and in any environment— is totally unacceptable. As soon as we heard about these accusations, we began an investigation. Mr. Enrique Albis has been fired from the company.”

At least five other women have come forward with allegations of sexual assault by Albis. One woman shared an email with the host of Chisme No Like, where she says Albis made her feel uncomfortable and that he touched her inappropriately.
