This week, Latino Rebels Radio producer Oscar Fernández presents one of his latest Latino Media Collective shows from Washington, D.C. Freelance writer and ethnomusicologist Felipe Maia joins Oscar to pay homage to Afro-Brazilian samba legend Elza Soares, who overcame poverty, domestic abuse, sexism, and institutional racism to reach the top of Brazil’s music industry.
