Organization says Trump immigration policies demonstrate devastating impact on more than six million U.S.-citizen children.

As Congress and the White House continue to clash over the funding of the border wall, Latino USA heads down to the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas to visit the communities affected by the government’s decisions about the border and immigration.

Another big bank says it will no longer finance Geo Group and CoreCivic.

For about an hour, around a hundred people gathered after dismissal at the Castle Bridge’s school entrance on 169th St. and St. Nicholas Ave. to send the message to government authorities that a threat to one was a threat to all.

“In 2016, the 20 metro areas with the most unauthorized immigrants were home to 6.5 million of them, or 61% of the estimated nationwide total. By contrast, only 37% of the total U.S. population lived in those metro areas,” Pew stated.

The proportion of immigrants varies considerably from one country to another. In some, it exceeds half the population, while in others it is below 0.1%. Which countries have the most immigrants? Where do they come from? How are they distributed across the world?

Seventeen people are still detained, according to organizers.

RAICES staff said this is the youngest population it has ever documented in immigrant detention, with some clients’ files showing they are as young as five months old.

Donald Trump Jr.’s words were insulting not only to those who teach our children, but those who care for them following disasters, whether those disasters are natural or manmade.

Obama did not, in fact, have a policy of separating children, but he did have the practice of separating thousands of children from their parents.

Our research shows that these types of policies remain fairly common among liberal democracies.

“We believe that the Border Patrol and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement should be held accountable for their human rights violations.”
